I remember a quote from Rocky 6 saying that the only respect that matters is self-respect... which is so damn true. If i'm still a friend somewhere in there, let me give a friend's advice : fight for it, accept no disrespect, believe in yourself before anything else. What you concede in respect, everybody will take it all to put you down. The world flies by too damn fast, kid. Make sure the trail you leave in it is of integrity.
Mine is more along the lines of "Every setback is an opportunity in disguise". Which is true, if you know and are strong enough to turn disadvantages into advantages. If that doesn't work, I fall back to "I uphold my honor for as long as doing it remains economically feasible."

This is very much my motto- let it be yours:
This world can turn me down.
But I won't turn away...
I won't duck and run...
Cause I'm not built that way.
